Role Description: The Account Executive-Healthcare and Life Sciences must have 2-7+ years of experience. Mastech Digital is seeking a high-impact Account Executive with a proven track record of opening new logos in the Healthcare and Life Sciences (HCLS) sector. This is a pure hunter position targeting Payer and Provider organizations, selling a differentiated portfolio of Data, AI, and Analytics services.
You will own the full sales lifecycle from prospecting to closing and play a pivotal role in accelerating Mastech Digital's growth in one of the most dynamic verticals in technology services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify, target, and acquire new clients across Payer (health plans, managed care) and Provider (hospital systems, IDNs, ambulatory networks) segments on the East Coast.
- Develop and execute go-to-market strategies to penetrate new accounts and expand footprints in untapped market segments.
- Build and maintain a robust, self-sourced sales pipeline through prospecting, executive networking, industry events, and strategic outreach.
- Establish and nurture C-level and VP-level relationships with senior stakeholders, decision-makers, and influencers within client organizations.
- Serve as a trusted advisor by aligning client business challenges with Mastech Digital's AI, Data, and Analytics-driven solution portfolio.
- Maintain regular client touchpoints to ensure long-term strategic engagement, satisfaction, and upsell opportunities.
- Collaborate with Data Analytics, Engineering, and Presales teams to design and position tailored AI/ML and Data-driven solutions that address specific client pain points.
- Lead client discovery sessions, presentations, and capabilities workshops showcasing Mastech Digital's expertise in Digital, Data, and AI/GenAI transformation.
- Partner with marketing teams to craft compelling value propositions, thought leadership content, and domain-relevant case studies.
- Own sales targets for new logo acquisition and ensure consistent, quarter-over-quarter revenue growth against plan.
- Lead commercial negotiations, develop tailored proposals, and manage the end-to-end deal lifecycle including RFPs, SOWs, and MSAs.
- Drive deal profitability and ensure client engagements align with Mastech Digital's business objectives and margin targets.
- Work closely with GTM, Delivery, and Practice leadership to ensure smooth account handover and successful project execution.
- Monitor client delivery outcomes and serve as an escalation point to ensure SLAs and client expectations are consistently met.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between sales strategy, solution design, and delivery capabilities.
Qualifications:
Required
- 8 to 15+ years of IT services or technology solutions sales experience, with a strong record in new logo acquisition (hunter profile).
- Proven experience selling Data, Analytics, AI/ML, or Cloud transformation services to healthcare clients, specifically Payer and/or Provider organizations.
- Deep relationships and network within the East Coast HCLS ecosystem.
- Strong understanding of HCLS business processes: claims processing, care management, population health, revenue cycle, clinical data, member/patient engagement.
Preferred:
- Experience selling GenAI, NLP, or applied AI solutions within HCLS contexts (clinical NLP, prior authorization automation, fraud/waste/abuse, care gap analytics).
- Exposure to platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, Azure, AWS, or GCP in an HCLS context.
- Existing relationships with CIOs, CDOs, VPs of Analytics, CMIOs, or VP-level operations within Payer/Provider organizations.
